This bill relates to oil and gas taxes, specifies that natural gas used to treat by-product water is exempt from taxation, and provides a credit for equipment to treat by-product water.

WAM ACTION: 2/19/18 

Discussion that the original bill exempted the operator from paying severance tax and this was a concern for the committee.  Amendment passed to strike the credit section (d) and the bringer of the bill suggested he would bring back in a different way.  WAM and WCCA testified of concerns for more exemptions.  Bill passed without the section regarding the credits, 8-1.
